Description

PLC Splitter 1×2 – Fiber Optical PLC Splitter is a type of optical power management device that is fabricated using silica optical waveguide technology. It features small size, high reliability, wide operating wavelength range and good channel-to-channel uniformity, and is widely used in PON networks to realize optical signal power splitting. Raiwav provides whole series of 1xN and 2xN splitter products that are tailored for specific applications.

Key Features of a PLC Splitter 1×2:

  1. Split Ratio:
    • The 1×2 configuration means one input optical signal is split into two output signals.
  2. Technology:
    • PLC Technology ensures precise and uniform splitting, making it ideal for applications requiring high-performance signal distribution.
  3. Insertion Loss:
    • Typically low, ensuring minimal signal loss during the splitting process, usually around 3.5 dB or less, depending on the quality and type of splitter.
  4. Wavelength Range:
    • Operates effectively across a broad wavelength range, commonly from 1260 nm to 1650 nm, making it suitable for various optical network applications.
  5. Uniformity:
    • High uniformity ensures that both output signals are almost identical in strength, crucial for consistent performance across the network.
  6. Packaging Options:
    • Available in various packaging, such as ABS box, cassette, bare fiber, or rack-mount, depending on installation needs.
  7. Environmental Stability:
    • Designed to operate reliably under different environmental conditions, ensuring long-term stability and durability.
