Description

Dome Fiber Optic Splice Closure GJS-M5/RS is used in aerial, wall-mounting applications, for the straight-through and branching splice of the fiber cable. The closure has five entrance ports on the end (four round ports and one oval port). The shell of the product is made from ABS. The shell and the base are sealed by pressing the silicone rubber with clamp allocated. The entry ports are sealed by heat-shrinkable tube. The closures can be opened again after be sealed, reused again without changing the sealing material.

Key Features:

  • Dome Shape: The dome shape allows for optimal use of space and provides additional strength against external pressures.
  • Sealing and Protection: Equipped with high-quality sealing systems, these closures ensure that the internal components remain protected from moisture, dust, and other contaminants.
  • Capacity: Designed to accommodate multiple fiber splices, ranging from a few to hundreds, depending on the model and application.
  • Cable Entries: Multiple cable entry points allow for the management of various cables, making it suitable for different configurations.
  • Durability: Made from high-strength materials like polypropylene or polycarbonate, ensuring long-term durability and performance even in harsh environments.

Applications:

  • Telecommunication Networks: Used in the backbone and distribution layers of telecommunication networks to connect and protect fiber optic cables.
  • FTTH (Fiber to the Home): Commonly used in FTTH deployments to connect the main fiber optic line to individual homes or buildings.
  • Industrial Networks: Provides protection for fiber optic connections in industrial environments, ensuring reliable communication.
  • Aerial and Underground Installations: Suitable for both aerial (hung on poles) and underground (buried) installations, offering flexibility in deployment.

Types:

  • Single-Ended Dome Closures: Cable entries are on one end of the closure, with the dome covering the spliced fibers.
  • Double-Ended Dome Closures: Cable entries are on both ends of the closure, offering more flexibility for complex installations.

Dome Fiber Optic Splice Closure is a protective enclosure used in fiber optic networks to house and protect the spliced fibers. It is designed to be weatherproof, providing resistance against water, dust, and other environmental factors. These closures are typically used in outdoor environments, including underground installations, aerial networks, and direct burial applications.
