Messenger wire: High strength 7strands Galvanized steel wire

Description

6 CORE FIG 8 GYXTC8S cable, single-mode/multimode fibers are positioned in the loose tube, which is made of high modulus plastic materials and filled with filling compound. PSP is longitudinally applied around the loose tube, and water-blocking materials are distributed into interstices of it. Then, this part of cable accompanied with the stranded wires as the supporting part are completed with a PE sheath to be a figure-8 structure.

1. 6 CORE FIG 8 GYXTC8S Characteristics:

  • Self-Supporting Design:
    • The figure-8 design with an integrated steel wire messenger allows the cable to be self-supporting when installed aerially, reducing the need for additional support structures.
  • Mechanical Protection:
    • The steel tape armor provides robust protection against physical damage, making the cable suitable for harsh outdoor environments.
  • Moisture Resistance:
    • The gel-filled loose tube and water-blocking materials ensure the cable is resistant to moisture, preventing long-term damage to the fibers.

2.Structure of GYXTC8S :

  • Central Loose Tube (GYXT):
    • The optical fibers are contained within a single central loose tube. The tube is filled with a water-blocking gel to protect the fibers from moisture.
  • Water-blocking Material:
    • Water-blocking materials are applied around the loose tube to prevent water ingress, ensuring the cable is suitable for outdoor installations.
  • Steel Tape Armor (S):
    • A layer of corrugated steel tape surrounds the loose tube, providing mechanical protection against impacts, compression, and rodent attacks.
  • Steel Wire Messenger:
    • A steel wire is integrated into the cable’s structure, forming the figure-8 shape. This wire acts as a messenger wire, providing the necessary tensile strength for the cable to be self-supporting in aerial installations.
  • Outer Sheath:
    • The outer sheath is typically made of polyethylene (PE), which provides protection against UV radiation, environmental factors, and physical damage.
