Description

Fiber optic pigtail LC/UPC also called fiber LC pigtail used to terminated fiber optic cables by fusion splicing. Providing rapidly and conveniently connect to CATV, optical switches or other telecommunication equipment during FTTH line constructions. Key Features: 1.Terminated with LC/APC connector2.Different cable length and diameter for various demands3.Low insertion loss and low back reflection loss.

Selection Considerations:

  • Fiber Type: Choose single-mode or multimode based on the application, distance, and bandwidth requirements.
  • Length: LC APC pigtails are available in standard lengths, usually between 1 to 3 meters.
  • Connector Type: Ensure compatibility with existing network equipment and patch panels, particularly concerning the APC polish and low return loss requirements.
  • Cable Jacket: Select the appropriate cable jacket material (e.g., PVC, LSZH) based on environmental factors and safety standards.

Installation Process:

  1. Preparation: Prepare the fiber optic cable by stripping, cleaning, and cleaving the fiber.
  2. Splicing: Splice the bare end of the pigtail to the main fiber optic cable using fusion or mechanical splicing techniques.
  3. Protection: Apply a splice protector and secure the splice in a splice tray or enclosure.
  4. Connection: Connect the LC APC end to the appropriate port, such as on a patch panel, network device, or other equipment.

LC APC Fiber Optic Pigtail is a crucial component for connecting optical fibers in high-density, high-performance networks, providing a reliable and low-loss connection. Its compact size, combined with the low return loss of the APC polish, makes it particularly well-suited for applications in telecommunications, data centers, FTTH, and more.
