Description

Fig 8 Cable is used in the deployment of high-speed internet and communication services directly to residential homes or businesses.

The mental strength member is made up of stranded steel wires as the supporting part. They are completed with a polyethylene(PE) sheath to be figure 8 structure. Corrugated steel tape armored and PE outer sheath providing crush resistance and gun shot resistance features. The steel-wire strength member as the central strength improves the tensile strength and it is surrounded by the loose tube and water blocking system. The impact structure ensures excellent mechanical and environmental performance.

Applications of FTTH Outdoor Fig8 Cable:
  • FTTH (Fiber to the Home): Specifically designed for use in FTTH networks, where the goal is to bring high-speed fiber optic connections directly to residential homes, apartments, or businesses.
  • Aerial Installations: Ideal for overhead installations where the cable needs to span between poles or other structures, such as in suburban or rural areas where underground cabling might be impractical or too costly.
  • Telecommunications: Used by telecom providers to deliver high-speed internet, voice, and video services directly to end users, enabling reliable and high-capacity connections.
  • Broadband and Internet Service Providers: Utilized in broadband networks to support the last-mile delivery of services, ensuring that customers receive the full benefit of fiber optic technology.
Technical Specifications:
  • Fiber Count: Typically between 2 to 12 fibers, depending on the network design and requirements.
  • Cable Diameter: Varies based on fiber count and specific design but generally falls within standard ranges for FTTH cables.
  • Messenger Wire: designed to support the weight of the cable over long spans.
  • Operating Temperature: often from -40°C to +70°C, suitable for various climates and weather conditions.
  • Maximum Span Length: Capable of supporting long spans between poles, typically ranging from 50-100 meters or more.
