Key Features and Construction of GJXH Cable:
Flat Structure:
GJXH cable has a flat structure that makes it easy to install, particularly in indoor environments. The cable is flexible and can be routed through walls, ceilings, and conduits with ease.
The flat shape also allows for better handling and splicing, especially when routing through tight spaces, such as in apartment buildings.
Single-Mode Fiber (SMF):
GJXH cables typically use single-mode fibers, often of the G.657A1 or G.657A2 type, known for their bend insensitivity. This allows the fiber to tolerate tight bends without significant signal loss, which is critical in indoor environments where routing paths can be complex.
The fiber is designed for long-distance, high-bandwidth data transmission.
Non-Metallic Strength Members:
The cable includes non-metallic strength members, such as FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), on both sides of the optical fiber to provide mechanical strength and protect the fibers from external stress during installation.
The non-metallic nature of the cable makes it non-conductive, ensuring safety in installations near electrical wiring or in environments where electromagnetic interference (EMI) may be present.
Flame-Retardant Outer Sheath:
GJXH cables are designed with a flame-retardant jacket, usually made of materials such as LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen). This makes the cable safer for indoor use, as it reduces the emission of toxic smoke and gases in case of fire.
The outer sheath also provides basic protection against environmental factors like moisture and abrasion.
Bend-Insensitive Design:
The GJXH cable is optimized for installations where sharp bends are required, such as around corners, inside walls, or along furniture. The bend-insensitive design helps maintain optical performance in these scenarios.
Indoor Use:
Primarily designed for indoor use, GJXH cables are suitable for installation inside homes, apartments, offices, and other buildings. It can be used for the final “drop” from the network access point to the individual subscriber.
