GYXTC8S FIG 8 Unitube Armored Fiber Optic Cable
STRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION:
Tube:Unit tube single mode
Water block:Gelly filling compound in tube and water block yarn and water swellable tape triple protection
Reinforcing: High modulus Steel Armored tape
Sheath: UV stabilised polyethylene in
Messenger wire :High strength 7strands Galvanized steel wire
Description
single mode armored fiber GYXTC8S cable, single-mode/multimode fibers are positioned in the loose tube, which is made of high modulus plastic materials and filled with filling compound. PSP is longitudinally applied around the loose tube, and water-blocking materials are distributed into interstices of it.Then, this part of cable accompanied with the stranded wires as the supporting part are completed with a PE sheath to be a figure-8 structure.
Characteristics:
- Compact Design: The unitube design allows for a more compact cable compared to cables with multiple loose tubes, making it easier to handle and install.
- High Tensile Strength: The armored layer provides the cable with high tensile strength, making it suitable for aerial, direct burial
- Moisture Resistance: The gel-filled unitube and water-blocking materials ensure the cable is resistant to moisture, preventing long-term damage to the fibers.
- Rodent and Impact Protection: The steel armor protects the cable from mechanical damage and rodent attacks. Extending the lifespan of the cable in harsh environments.
Variations:
- Single-mode and Multimode: The unitube armored fiber optic cable can be available in both single-mode. (for long-distance, high-speed applications) and multimode (for shorter distances, often within buildings or campuses).
- Different Fiber Counts: The unitube can house varying numbers of fibers, depending on the specific needs of the installation.
The unitube armored fiber optic cable is commonly used in telecommunications, industrial applications. And other outdoor environments where both high performance and protection are required. Its compact design and robust construction make it a versatile and reliable choice for many fiber optic network installations.
